The concert program will feature music by Ukrainian composers from various eras — from Classicism to the present day — performed by the Kyiv Mozart Orchestra.

Our country is currently undergoing one of the most challenging trials in its modern history, fighting for its right to chart its own path. Ukrainian culture is a central element of this struggle, as it is through cultural artifacts that national identity and the so-called "genetic code" of the nation are most deeply embedded. The musical component of our culture is its calling card, widely recognized and respected worldwide.

The program will include works by Dmytro Bortniansky, an outstanding musician who lived in the 18th century and whose creativity influenced many artists of later generations. In addition, the concert will feature works by contemporary Ukrainian composers. You will hear the most famous piece by Myroslav Skoryk, the composer of the soundtrack for the film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors — the brilliant Melody, as well as Spanish Dance and Diptych for string quartet. Also included is Dreams of an Ancient Forest for string orchestra by Oleksandr Shymko.
