Each viewer and listener will plunge into the world of unexpected, soulful music. Ethnicity + chaos = a combination of two fundamental substances that create the world in a variety of melodies and rhythms.

DakhaBrakha is a quartet of world music from Kiev, Ukraine. Reflecting the fundamental elements of sound and soul, the Ukrainian "ethnic chaos" band DakhaBrakha creates a world of unexpected new music.

The name DakhaBrakha is very distinctive, bright and at the same time authentic. In the ancient Ukrainian language it means "give / take".

"DakhaBrakha" was created in 2004 at the Kiev Center for Contemporary Art "DAKH" by the director of the avant-garde theater Vladislav Troitsky.

Musically, the team is very rich in experiments, the guys constantly add the rhythms of the world around them, create unforgettable tracks. Indian, Arabic, African, Australian motives diversify the album. The vocal range of the soloists creates a transnational sound that takes its roots in Ukrainian traditional culture.

DakhaBrakha gave concerts and performances and took part in many international festivals in Ukraine, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Austria, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Rumunia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Finland. , Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belarus, Georgia, Hungary, Poland, China, Australia, USA, Canada, Colombia, New Zealand, Brazil.

DakhaBraha has a joint project with such musicians: Port Mone (By), Kimmo Pohjonen Cluster (Fi), Karl Frierson (De Phazz) (Ge), Steve Cooney (IRL), Inna Zhelannaya (Ru), Kievbass (UA), Djam (UA-Iran), David Ingibaryan (Hu).

In March 2010 "DakhaBrakha" won one of the most prestigious Grand Prix named after S. Kuriohin in the field of contemporary art and once again confirmed its relevance. In March 2011, DakhaBraha became the opening of the Australian Womadelaida.

This year, on January 16, DakhaBrakha reached the final of the Shevchenko National Prize competition in the Musical Art nomination, and on February 27, it became the 2021 laureate. In addition, on March 27 this year, the band released a new album "Alambari". "- which was recorded in the fall of 2019 in Brazil at the studio" Gargolandia "and is the fourth music album by DakhaBrakha.

This year, in a rather difficult period for the concert sphere, Dakha Brakha reached the final of the Shevchenko National Prize Competition, and were nominated as "Musical Art".
