An Evening of One-Act Ballets: «Bolero» and «Rain»
«Rain» is a combination of music by J.S. Bach and melodies from various cultures around the world. Initially conceived as one of the choreographic miniatures meant to diversify the theater's repertoire, the performance evolved into something more significant than a mere concert piece. The artists of the theater created novellas set to folk music, interwoven with the preludes and fugues of the great composer. The production is rich with trios, duets, and solo performances, each telling its own unique story. This gave rise to a philosophical parable about random people brought together in space and time, about a crowd of individuals and an individual in the crowd, about the diversity of cultures and mentalities, and shared human values.
