When we were still children, in the life of each of us there was an invisible friend, an animal or a creature to whom we trusted our dreams and thoughts. We talked to him secretly from the adults, and he listened and fulfilled our secret wishes. We kept it a secret because no one was supposed to know about it. But when we became adults, we forgot him and stopped seeing him.

Elwood, the main character of our story, is a successful adult man who, having managed to remain a child at heart, sees and talks with an invisible being - a big white rabbit named Harvey. Everyone considers him crazy, funny and strange, just not normal. But what is "to be normal" in our world? And wouldn't each of us like to see such a rabbit?

The sparkling comedy about the great white rabbit Harvey was written by the American Mary Chase in 1944 as a reflection on the depression of the nation caused by the world war. The play immediately became a bestseller, enduring a record number of performances on Broadway. The author won the Pulitzer Prize for it, and the adaptation of "Harvey" won the Oscar.

The young theater turns to this crazy comedy during a full-scale invasion, with the same goal as Mary Chase back in 1943, which is to awaken in our audience hope and faith in the future.
