Maureen, a 30-year-old girl, wanted to finally escape from the custody of her unbearable mother, met her first love at a party, whom she had not seen for ten years, dragged him to her bed, wanting to finally lose her virginity, dreamed that he would take her with him to Boston, and he never came and didn't even write. It's a good thing he has a brother, otherwise the story could have ended worse...

Thanks to the simple plot, the heroes of the psychological drama of cult playwright Martin McDonagh "Beauty Queen from Linan" experience a transformation of consciousness and find answers to the most painful question of their lives - why they are lonely.

Spiritual emigration and a sense of uselessness, first of all for oneself, pushes the inhabitants of a remote, god-forsaken settlement to search for a new, better life somewhere out there, out of sight, in London or even in Boston, as if they can escape from themselves and their fears .

The search for their own identity leads the heroes through the labyrinths of despair, despair, pain and brings to light their own interpretation of a merciless reality, in which there is nothing but a quiet existence in a village house on a mountain, among mud and timid chickens, waiting for the birth of a new life to the sounds of endless rain.
